Why does manor farm fail

Much of the next year is spent building the windmill. Boxer , an incredibly strong horse, proves himself to be the most valuable animal in this endeavor. Jones, meanwhile, forsakes the farm and moves to another part of the county. Contrary to the principles of Animalism, Napoleon hires a solicitor and begins trading with neighboring farms.

When a storm topples the half-finished windmill, Napoleon predictably blames Snowball and orders the animals to begin rebuilding it. Napoleon's lust for power increases to the point where he becomes a totalitarian dictator, forcing "confessions" from innocent animals and having the dogs kill them in front of the entire farm.

He and the pigs move into Jones' house and begin sleeping in beds which Squealer excuses with his brand of twisted logic. The animals receive less and less food, while the pigs grow fatter. After the windmill is completed in August, Napoleon sells a pile of timber to Jones ; Frederick , a neighboring farmer who pays for it with forged banknotes.

Frederick and his men attack the farm and explode the windmill but are eventually defeated. As more of the Seven Commandments of Animalism are broken by the pigs, the language of the Commandments is revised: For example, after the pigs become drunk one night, the Commandment, "No animals shall drink alcohol" is changed to, "No animal shall drink alcohol to excess.

Boxer again offers his strength to help build a new windmill, but when he collapses, exhausted, Napoleon sells the devoted horse to a knacker a glue-boiler. Squealer tells the indignant animals that Boxer was actually taken to a veterinarian and died a peaceful death in a hospital — a tale the animals believe.

Jones would come back if the animals started getting skeptical about something. This show class distinction because it shows that pigs were more important than the other animals. Also, this shows what happens to you when you get all of the power, you become corrupt and create a system of class distinction. When comparing two pieces of writing, they may seem broadly different but at a closer look, one may find they are fairly similar. When the animals desire freedom and equality, Jones does not meet the wants and desires, so the animals start a rebellion.

Through years of rebellion, Winston finds someone that feels the same as he does. Power can be a wonderful thing, which leads to success. On the other hand, misusing it can lead to corruption, depending on who is handling it. George Orwell in his book Animal Farm uses animals to show that humans abuse their power.

The most significant topic in the novel is the abuse of power that keeps happening again and again. When unconstructive human qualities take over what is really important and overcome one's ability to govern competently, power is corrupted.

The book is about animals on a farm who are overworked and aren 't treated well. Then, an insurgency made up of animals with pigs as their leaders, rebel against Mr. Jones owner of the farm by driving him off his farm. The animal farm then starts to fail. The farm fails because of the pigs not being fair to the other animals, plus the animals being too dumb to realize it.

The other animals made mistakes, by not speaking up when they thought something was wrong. These reasons, including many more, are why Animal Farm fails. One reason Animal Farm fails, is because of power grabs by animals. There are many examples of this throughout the book. This shows that Mr Jones was 'too drunk' to remember to shut all the doors.

By leaving the 'popholes' open, the chickens would get very cold , showing a lack of interest in their wellbeing. Old Major speaks of Mr Jones' cruelty in his speech - drowning the dogs when they get too old.

Here, Old Major is saying that when the dogs are 'old and toothless'. Mr Jones should be looking after them but instead he 'drowns them in the nearest pond' as soon as they are no longer of use to him.
